Krawattennymphe

Life Before Photoshop

Life before Photoshop. Krawattennymphe would seem to translate from German as “necktie nymph,” which is more alliterative but not nearly as lyrical as the German title. As collar pins go, this one seems a bit bulky — sort of like wearing Tinker Belle around your neck. I imagine it would be enjoyable at first, but eventually she’s start to drag you down.

This German postcard arrived yesterday from the lovely Katja, a student of literature in Tampere, Finland; she found it in the university bookshop. Clearly there are some advantages in studying the liberal arts.
