Never has there been a better argument for abandoning digital music and returning to cassettes. This astounding image (from girlzoot, whom I’m learning is quite the connoisseuse) is a 1991 work by Jan Saudek entitled The Walkman. girlzoot “love(s) this particular card because of the combination of classic posing with modern technology,” as do I. The resemblance to images and to postcards of yesteryear is both astounding and brilliant.

Much of Jan Saudek’s work is in a similar vein, though there are some images that are not for the prudish.
